Hallelujah!
Oh yes, I met my new nutrionist yesterday and I LOVE, LOVE, L-O-V-E her!

Told her my woes, that shakes make me gag, my other protein drink is starting to make me gag, I have deficiency issues and she was wonderful about it.

I've come home with some new supplements that I am to implement slowly over time (because as she says something is better than nothing), and some samples for a bariatric meal replacement shake which is different than a straight protein drink, because she feels I may have protein sensitivity issues having never been a big protein eater even before surgery. So yay, yay, yay!

I'll be seeing her weekly for the next month while we work through the immediate deficiency issues, and then every other week for a bit.

Finally someone who is willing to work with me rather than just say go do this even if you do throw it all up!

Hmmmm
This weekend the BF and I went to see the new Die Hard movie. Do yourself a favor, go watch it, I haven't been this entertained in a long time. Those action scenes had me clenching up in my seat they were so good.

Today the BF put in the official offer on the condo. So we should know shortly whether or not I can dream about combining our 2 households into a new place, or into the current place. I'm hoping for new since we can paint it anyway we like. Anyway, if it doesn't work out we are just going to give up on Cali and search out the perfect place to move to in a year or so.... and that would be just fine too really.

This weekend we went to a giant nutrition / healthfood store, and I was able to find many different protein drinks to try out, along with some protein bars that I've been able to nibble through. So the protein wagon is starting up again. Hurrah, hurrah, hurrah!

Protein, Protein
So I've bought a huge variety of protein drinks to try before my surgery to find something that will be palatable to me afterwards.

So far I've only found drinks that I hate! Tonight I tried a Nectar brand Strawberry Kiwi and it tasted and smelled exactly like pepto bismol (which makes me vomit). I have to admit I was very disappointed. Nectar is a brand that most people don't have issues with, since it is not very thick and can be mixed with water. I'm hoping the other flavours I have won't be quite like this one.
